Columbia University's Initiative For Policy Dialogue (IPD) was founded by Nobel laureate economist Joseph Stiglitz to help developing countries explore policy alternatives and economic policymaking. IPD wanted to enhance their website and increase its content as an integrated part of their expanding mission.

Utilizing their existing technology infrastructure (Microsoft SQL 2000 with a Microsoft Access Switchboard), through a reiterative design and development process, Dotmeta delivered a re-organized dynamic website which can keep pace with IPD's growing number of programs.
